The Role

The Access Management Specialist is crucial in ensuring secure and controlled access for employees and visitors in restricted areas. You will be responsible for enforcing security protocols, preventing unauthorized entry and exit of items, and delivering outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate must possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different work environments, whether fast-paced or slower.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the access of employees and visitors to restricted areas, ensuring authentication of credentials.
  • Prevent unauthorized or restricted items from being brought onto or taken off the premises.
  • Maintain vigilance and thorough surveillance of the assigned area.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming experience for all.
  • Stay alert and aware of your surroundings at all times.
  • Communicate effectively in every interaction, both verbally and non-verbally.
  • Adhere to protocols with great attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate capability to work independently during designated shifts.
  • Quickly adapt to changing conditions and environments.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

Requirements - What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in government or military facilities.
  • Knowledge of government security regulations and access control systems.
  • Relevant certifications in security or related fields are a plus.
  • Active Top Secret /SCI with Polygraph clearance is mandatory.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of work.
  • A valid state driver's license in good standing is necessary.
  • Must pass a background check; additional checks may be required throughout employment.

Minimum Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with professional communication capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a fine eye for detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment; adaptable and a quick learner.
  • Self-motivated; capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information correctly.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Working Conditions

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, if necessary.

  • Ability to work hours outside typical business schedules.
  • Capable of walking 3 to 5 miles per shift and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and push/pull up to 75 lbs. with assistance as needed.
  • Standard visual acuity required, including near, far, and peripheral vision.
  • Normal color vision is required for specific tasks.
