Primary Position Purpose: As an Account Supervisor II, you will oversee and develop drivers for assigned accounts, addressing customer service issues and supervising shipments to ensure customer satisfaction. You will provide effective solutions to improve customer retention, utilization, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive safety metrics and key performance indicators focused on service pickup, deadhead percentages, and weekly assignments.
- Supervise driver performance to effectively meet business and driver needs.
- Utilize High Performance Coaching techniques to motivate drivers toward performance goals.
- Maintain excellent customer service by managing expectations through strong communication.
- Ensure profitable operation through effective equipment utilization.
- Address sensitive issues and disputes with drivers using effective communication strategies.
- Plan driver loads based on availability to ensure timely service.
- Coordinate drivers' physicals, drug screens, and CDL renewals in collaboration with the Safety Department.
- Employ systems such as AS400 and XPM to maximize departmental productivity.
- Build trust with managed employees through constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with various operational and support departments to achieve objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Equivalent years of experience will be recognized as one year of professional experience for each year of college.
Experience: 3+ years of operations experience in customer service, fleet management, or load planning is preferred. Background in transportation, logistics, and supervisory roles is a plus.
Skills & Abilities:
- Adept at assessing organizational dynamics and navigating change.
- Efficient in executing tasks with a focus on swift problem-solving.
- Strong communicator across various media.
- Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations is preferred.
