About the Accounting Associate position

We are looking for a junior Accountant to join our team and assist with basic accounting tasks on a daily basis. You will play a crucial role in our accounting and financial operations, supporting the month-end closing process, daily accounting tasks, and bookkeeping needs.

The ideal candidate will be particularly detail oriented and have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

Support the month-end closing process, including preparing and posting journal entries, and analyzing financial statements for discrepancies.

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to monitor and manage client accounts, ensuring timely payments and accurate recording of transactions.

Be able to verify and record invoices and payments for purchased invoices, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Assist with the implementation of new accounting systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Perform ad-hoc accounting and financial projects as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

1-3 years of experience in accounting or related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
