Your Purpose as an Accounting Clerk:
Bill all new and used car deals and post into accounting
Receipt all monies received for new and used car deals and dealer trades.
Organize all paperwork in each deal; check for completeness (signatures, verify VIN, etc.)
Process pay-off checks for trade-ins in a timely manner.
Process dealer trades in and out.
Generate and maintain the sales person's commission reports
Route paid deals to the tag and title clerk for processing as soon as money is received
Process contracts and related vehicle sales documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Maintain accounting schedules, reconcile differences and make journal entry adjustments as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Automotive dealership experience is preferred but will train the right candidate
1-3 years of experience working in an accounting role
Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Positive attitude & very outgoing personality
Exceptional written & oral communication skills
Ability to multi task
