Administration & Customer Service Officer

Solar & Electrical Contracting Business

We're a locally owned solar installation and electrical contracting business with a strong reputation and a tight-knit team. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an Administration & Customer Service Officer to support our office and field teams.

This role suits someone who understands (or is keen to learn) how trade businesses operate and enjoys being the link between customers, electricians, and installers - while also helping showcase our work online.

About the Role

You'll play an important role in keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring our customers receive clear, professional communication from start to finish.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering incoming phone calls and emails from customers

  • Booking jobs and coordinating schedules for electricians and solar installers

  • Managing customer communication before, during and after installations

  • Preparing quotes, invoices and job documentation

  • Liaising with suppliers, wholesalers and network providers

  • Stock control, including monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as required

  • Coordinating materials and equipment to ensure jobs are fully prepared

  • General office administration and support for the wider team

  • Creating and scheduling basic social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

  • Collecting photos and information from jobs to help showcase completed projects

  • Assisting with simple content creation such as job highlights, team posts and customer updates

  • Helping maintain a consistent and professional online presence for the business

About You

Previous experience in a trade, construction or contracting environment is highly regarded, but not essential. We're equally interested in applicants who bring strong admin, customer service or coordination experience and are keen to learn the trade and solar side of the business.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in administration, customer service or office coordination

  • Strong communication and people skills

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Confidence using computers, email and office software

  • An understanding of scheduling, stock management and prioritising work (or the ability to learn quickly)

  • An interest in social media and basic content creation

  • Experience with job management, inventory or scheduling software is an advantage
