Adult STAT Registered Nurse (36H/week, Nights)

Join our dynamic Critical Care Support Services team as an Adult STAT Registered Nurse! This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled nursing professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care on a nightly basis.

The STAT Clinical Support Nurse plays a vital role in identifying patient health alterations, assessing human responses to health issues, and implementing effective nursing interventions. You will collaborate with various healthcare disciplines to ensure coordinated continuity of care across acute medical/surgical units, intensive care units, and the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct focused physical exams to evaluate and address patient needs in accordance with established protocols.
• Stabilize patients in critical condition within the wards and ICUs.
• Manage ICU patients who are located on the regular floor.
• Facilitate the transfer of patients to higher levels of care as required.
• Utilize the chain of command to resolve issues effectively.
• Assist visitors and staff following any relevant emergencies.
• Administer IV push medications as necessary on applicable units.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from a professional academic nursing program.
• Current RN Registration to practice in the State of New York.
• A minimum of three years of recent intensive care clinical experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.

• Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Adept at interpreting medical documents and ensuring proper documentation of patient care.
