Clinical Nurse Overview

The Advanced Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. By demonstrating kindness and active listening, you contribute to the overall mission of our healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders efficiently, administer medications, initiate IVs, and perform various treatments and procedures as per company policy and regulatory standards.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
• Regularly assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care rendered.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in all patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer prescribed and over-the-counter medications responsibly.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Valid NYS Registered Nurse license required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is essential.
• 1-3 years of relevant clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is required.
• Exceptional communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement concepts, principles, and tools to enhance patient care quality.
