Advanced Clinical Nurse III for Adult Emergency Services

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, procedures, and special tests, while documenting all care in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ needs and responses to care.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment for effective patient care management.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer prescribed medications and over-the-counter treatments as needed.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel, ensuring adherence to professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from a professional nursing program leading to a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.
• Current Registered Nurse license in NYS.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Medical-Surgical or Progressive Care settings.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, with a willingness to apply these for quality improvement in patient care.
