Job Description Summary

Are you passionate about creating a compassionate environment for patients, families, and colleagues? As an Advanced Practice Clinical Nurse, you'll play a vital role in ensuring excellent patient care while making a difference in the lives of those you serve.

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments and special tests, and document care following company policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment in management decisions regarding patient care.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to establish a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate from a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
  • 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is necessary.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques is beneficial, along with the ability to apply this knowledge for departmental and patient care quality improvement.
