As a crucial contributor to Meta's app growth, we aim to transform recommendation systems by harnessing advanced AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI. Our mission is to elevate user experiences across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in cutting-edge research that advances the field of large language model studies.
- Contribute to hands-on experiments by designing details, coding, conducting evaluations, and organizing findings.
- Participate in publications and initiatives for open-source projects.
- Assist in defining ambitious long-term research goals and setting achievable milestones.
- Focus research efforts on applications that can enhance Meta’s product offerings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the aforementioned fields, to be completed before joining Meta.
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.
- Experience in developing interactive solutions for computer vision, natural language processing, or computer graphics.
- Hands-on experience in generative AI and LLM research.
- Must have work authorization in the respective country at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to tackle complex problems, weighing various solutions and perspectives to determine an effective path forward.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and proficiency in Python.
- Demonstrated achievements in research, evidenced by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as publications in prominent workshops, journals, or conferences in Machine Learning, Robotics, and Computer Vision.
- Hands-on experience in software engineering through internships, professional experience, or contributions to notable open-source projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a diverse team environment.
- Experience analyzing complex, large-scale datasets from various sources.
Compensation:
$154,000/year to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
