Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range for this position is determined by several factors, including the role's complexity, location, and the candidate’s skills, education, training, and experience. As part of our comprehensive benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range

$139,400.00 - $230,000.00

As a member of the AI and Emerging Technology Architecture team, you will be part of a strategic and collaborative group that is committed to enhancing our business and technology capabilities to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

In your role as Senior Architect, you will work closely with Technology and Business stakeholders, utilizing your expertise in modern AI systems to design and implement solutions that significantly impact our operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying your hands-on experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI systems to architect and deliver scalable and production-ready AI solutions tailored to our business unit's needs.
  • Collaborating with Lead Architects and teams to further develop the enterprise AI solutions architecture practice, contributing to reusable patterns, reference architectures, and design standards to ensure consistency across various initiatives.
  • Translating business requirements into practical AI platform designs, focusing on LLM integration, RAG pipelines, and tool/function-calling patterns to deliver reliable and cost-effective solutions.
  • Advancing governance and risk management processes that support safe AI deployments, showing a working knowledge of frameworks like the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF, and upholding principles of responsible AI.
  • Staying current with the evolving AI platform landscape and contributing insights to shape the team's technical direction and roadmap.
  • Communicating effectively with diverse teams across engineering, product, and business, facilitating knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

What Will You Do?

  • Scope: Manage architecture across segments or domains for a specific business unit.
  • Technical Execution: Define and lead technology proof of concepts to validate architecture solutions and minimize technical debt.
  • Strategic Accountability: Develop target state architecture and roadmaps, identifying opportunities from emerging technologies.
  • Build strong relationships and secure support for architectural direction.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Technical Expertise & Education: Bachelor's in a technology-related field or equivalent experience, plus at least 8 years in architecture.
  • Proven experience architecting large-scale technology initiatives.
  • Leadership & Influence: Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of motivating teams and influencing outcomes.
  • Strategic & Business Acumen: Extensive experience in an agile operational model and supporting transformational change.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and listening abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in AI/ML development and deployment, with familiarity in core ML algorithms.
  • Knowledge of MLOps & AI Ops practices and CI/CD for AI/ML workflows.
  • Experience with Generative AI foundations and agentic AI patterns.
  • Familiarity with cloud AI services, particularly AWS Bedrock and related platforms.
  • Understanding of responsible AI principles and governance frameworks.

What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 additional years of architecture or software engineering experience.
