Job Summary: This full-time role involves varied shifts, including three 12-hour weekday shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM and additional weekday and weekend shifts. The Medical Assistant supports healthcare delivery and patient management in a clinical setting, adapting daily duties to meet the practice's needs.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal patient conditions to identify those at risk. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
  • Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triage appropriately, and offer reassurance, education, and clear instructions to patients.
  • Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery during patient visits, including accurate and updated medical records.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Monitor and communicate abnormal signs to physicians and document findings thoroughly.
  • Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physicals, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and arranging necessary referrals and testing.
  • Administer patient education materials and confirm patient understanding of treatments and medication usage.
  • Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
  • Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities.
Education and Experience Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.

This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
