About the Role
The company is eager to bring on an Area Chief of Staff to lead, develop, and manage a team of associate veterinarians within our hospitals. In this vital role, you will focus on attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talented doctors to ensure high-quality medical care and optimum hospital performance. You will foster a culture centered around quality and safety while conducting regular visits and quality audits. Your expertise in coaching and developing associate veterinarians on essential technical and functional skills will be key to our success.
In addition, the Area Chief of Staff will play a pivotal role in expanding our veterinary team, leading initiatives for recruiting, onboarding, and training new veterinarians, and enhancing team engagement and retention strategies. To excel in this role, you must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree, a veterinary license in good standing, and at least 3 years of experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside the ability to effectively manage and assess team performance. A dedication to our five core principles and a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement are vital.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive champion for quality, capable of performing basic surgeries and demonstrating key attributes like initiative, integrity, cooperativeness, flexibility, and resilience under pressure. This role is both challenging and highly rewarding.
