About the RoleWe are currently looking for experienced and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join our vibrant retail team at our busy Melbourne CBD store. ResponsibilitiesSupport the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations, team leadership, and performance management.Supervise and coach team members to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales results.Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new team members.Monitor sales targets and KPIs, helping to break down goals into achievable daily tasks.Oversee stock control, replenishment and visual merchandising to ensure a vibrant and engaging store presentation.Handle escalated customer issues and ensure a positive resolution experience.Implement in-store marketing promotions and maintain brand standards.Conduct regular team performance check-ins and support development plans.Maintain compliance with company policies and workplace health and safety standards.Report store maintenance issues promptly to ensure a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers. Qualifications2+ years retail leadership experience, ideally in a high-volume or lifestyle/entertainment brand, leading between 30+ people. Required SkillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.A positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.Strong people skills with the ability to lead, coach, and inspire a diverse team.Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.Strong problem-solving and time management skills.Experience in stock management, visual merchandising and roster coordination.A customer-first mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences.Maturity and seasonality to drive business success.Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
