The Associate Market Medical Director plays a crucial role in supervising Clinical Directors, managing performance, and enhancing clinical outcomes in our centers. This position offers a balance between direct patient care and vital leadership responsibilities, allowing you to make a significant impact while engaging with a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Clinical Directors across multiple centers, ensuring accountability for clinical outcomes and operational excellence.
- Drive successful clinical operations and target achievements for market earnings.
- Mentor and develop Medical Directors, fostering a culture of outstanding clinical outcomes.
- Facilitate talent development for PCPs, NPs, and Medical Directors through coaching and performance management.
- Promote a physician culture aligned with ChenMed's core values, service standards, and clinical excellence.
- Engage in practitioner training and recruitment to build a strong clinical team.
- Forge relationships with payers, specialists, and community organizations to enhance service delivery.
- Monitor market culture and respond effectively to workplace concerns.
- Oversee referral processes and provide operational support where needed.
- Partake in quality improvement initiatives and clinical metric assessments.
- Deliver exceptional care as a Primary Care Physician (20% of time).
- Adapt to other responsibilities as directed by the Regional President.
Essential Qualifications:
- MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a relevant specialty.
- 2+ years of clinical experience required; 3 years preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Director or equivalent in a Medicare/Medicaid setting preferred.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in a relevant specialty with an active medical license.
- Proven track record in clinical leadership and population health management.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for quality improvement.
- Strong relationship-building and conflict resolution skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records.
- Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally up to 30% of the time.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position is $250,426 - $357,752, along with comprehensive benefits that enhance your work-life balance and career advancement opportunities.
