Description

Join us as a Battle Captain Development Instructor, where you will play a vital role in training DISA Battle Captains and Watch team members. Your expertise will help ensure the stability, security, and effectiveness of critical Communications and Information Technology services within the organization. You will be dedicated to enhancing the skills of the Watch team, preparing them to meet the demands posed by various threats and vulnerabilities.

As the training expert for the Watch, you will operate with a high level of independence, work closely with command leadership, and adapt to evolving mission requirements. Your ability to communicate at all levels will be essential as you collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain effective operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of Watch training, from development to operational transition.

  • Establish connections between cyber-Watch security trainers and industry/government standards.

  • Analyze training materials and performance objectives to enhance the skillset of Watch Officers.

  • Assist in innovating training scope and objectives, contributing to technology acquisition planning.

  • Gather input from cyberspace operations to ensure comprehensive representation of community needs.

  • Continuously improve training standards based on future capabilities and adversary tactics.

  • Maintain training databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of records.

  • Help track and report training requirements for the Watch workforce.

Basic Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

  • Current CSSP certification.

  • Highly organized and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with large datasets.

  • Knowledge of joint doctrine, plans, policies, and military operations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 12 years of related experience or a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, 4+ years of additional experience may substitute for a degree.
