This position provides direct and indirect clinical services to patients requiring behavioral health intervention in hospital Emergency Departments. Responsibilities include crisis triage and assessment, individual and family intervention, case management, community collaboration, patient/family education, insurance verification, and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's Degree and licensure in a Behavioral Health field, as well as certification in CPI de-escalation techniques. Strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and knowledge of community resources are essential. Flexibility, multitasking ability, and proficiency in computer skills are also necessary. The role may involve patient restraint when responding to emergencies. Strong communication and collaboration skills are required to effectively work with a diverse population and emergency department staff. The position also involves completing documentation in compliance with relevant standards and negotiating authorizations with Managed Care Organizations. Additionally, the applicant should be capable of effectively utilizing psychological and physical management techniques to handle potentially violent situations.
