Job Summary

BRC Mental Health Services/Boise Residential Care is Idaho's first Residential Treatment homes for adults with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness with outpatient clinical services. We are hiring Part time or Full time Behavioral Health Technicians. Shifts needed are all days of the week, 7am-4pm, 4pm-11pm, 11pm-7am, and 9am-5pm as well as on call or as needed shifts. Pay DOE and starts at $13-18 per hour.

The Behavioral Health Technician provides direct client care in a safe and therapeutic environment in an outpatient residential setting. The technician provides support duties to clients including teaching, assisting, monitoring, assistance with activities of daily living, medications, behavior management in accordance with physician orders, treatment plans and policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

Assist and monitor clients performing activities of daily living.
Interacts with a variety of professionals and treatment team to implement treatment plan interventions and report pertinent data.
May have contact with families, significant others, and other social service representatives.
Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to Clinical staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan. Observes and records patient's behaviors and interactions towards prescribed treatment goals
Provides crisis intervention and milieu management on the unit to maintain patient and staff safety.
Assumes personal responsibility for maintaining professional development and practice, any certification or credentialing, and education.
Observes and monitors client's status according to monitoring standards, policies and procedures. This includes completion of vital signs, weight log, intake and output, dietary intake, rounds sheets, behavioral rounds sheets), narrative logs and admission checklists or other progress or milieu notes. Reports client complaints issues or any concerns in a timely manner.
Provides verbal and written input to nursing staff via ongoing reporting and end of shift report so client's needs and care can be prioritized.
Conducts activities
Maintain and update medical records
Oversee the house to ensure all of the cleaning, cooking, laundry, paperwork and basic care of the house in competed
Other duties assigned as necessary
Prepares documentation to give the most complete description of the patient's response and functioning
Continuously alert to potential safety risks and unsafe conditions
Coordinate care within a multidisciplinary team framework

Qualifications and Skills

Don't need COVID vaccination for this position
18 years old
CPR and First Aid for Adults (will pay to obtain if needed)
Medication Assistance Certification (will pay to obtain if needed)
Experience or wanting to gain experience in the Mental Health field
