JOB SUMMARY:
To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member. Provide intensive therapeutic interventions with children and families in an individual, group and family setting. Provide direct care, support, structure, skill building and therapeutic interventions per the youth's individualized treatment plan. Ensure utilization of approved evidenced based models and that needs of the youth and family are being met. Provide quality, trauma informed services in the home, school and community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet one of the below:
Bachelor's degree in human services field
Bachelor's degree in other field and one (1) year experience providing direct mental health services
High School diploma or equivalent with documented completion of RBT training and certification
A minimum of two (2) years experience in the provision of behavior health services
Certified as an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician)
Certified as a BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysis)
Certified as a BCAT (Board Certified Autism Technician)
- COVID-19 vaccination, or willingness to receive vaccine required.
- Active Driver's License required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Be knowledgeable and ensure compliance with all Intensive Behavior Health Services (IBHS) regulations, standards and expectations.
Provide intensive therapeutic interventions per treatment plan and utilizing evidence-based practices with assigned youth and families. Interventions may be individual, in a group and/or with a family.
Provide time structured activities to support skill building and goal achievement. Includes implementing behavior supports to assist youth in their participation in activities such as summer camps, community and school events and sports.
Provide praise, support and guidance to enhance pro-social behaviors. Includes modeling, positive reinforcement, and role playing.
Provide interventions with assigned youth per written order. Services may be based in the home, school, community or all the above.
Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to support a youth in building skills.
Fade prompts appropriately to promote independent use of replacement behaviors.
Provide crisis intervention and management as needed using a crisis resolution model.
Be knowledgeable about each youth's treatment and crisis/safety plan and deliver interventions that are developmentally appropriate, strengths-based and trauma informed.
Monitor therapeutic interventions for effectiveness and collaborate with team on effectiveness and challenges.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods. Ability to pass training on crisis intervention and defensive procedures.
