REQUIREMENTS: (1) High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred (2) Previous Medical Billing/Collection experience preferred

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the day-to-day billing/collections of the Billing Collections area of the Business Office. Ensures timely and accurate mailing and processing of the claims received daily. Assists with training and motivating staff to ensure maximum utilization of individual and group capabilities, while providing optimal service to both internal and external customers. Knowledge and experience with healthcare revenue cycle operations including patient accounting procedures; proficiency in MS4, 10-key by touch. Organization and prioritization skills, effective written and verbal communication skills; flexibility to adhere to additional duties as needed for department growth. Performs other duties as assigned.

REPORT RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Manager Billing/ Collections Services

OSHA TASK CATEGORY THREE: There is no anticipated risk of exposure to mucous membranes or skin contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues, or a potential for spills or splashed during the performance of the job. Universal precautions must be observed, and protective devices worn by the employee when performing a task that is likely to cause exposure.

TELEWORKING: This position can be performed via teleworking including remote. Teleworking status is determined by the criteria per the Wise Health System Telecommuting Policy.
