Business Analyst for Value Chain Transformation

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Business Analyst to play a vital role in a high-impact Value Chain Transformation programme for one of our key clients. This position focuses on crafting business cases, defining a future-state operating model, and driving strategic digital and process-led enhancements across multiple value streams. Key Responsibilities:


Target Operating Model (TOM) Design & Solution Alignment:

  • Design a robust Target Operating Model for Value Chain functions, delineating the essential capabilities, integrations, and user interactions vital for a digitally enabled future.
  • Ensure the model encompasses interoperable value streams and technologies that drive operational effectiveness and business value.

Business Case Development & Documentation:

  • Create and refine detailed business cases for specific workstreams and solution areas within the transformation programme.
  • Generate supporting documentation that aligns directly with strategic business objectives and establishes a compelling evidence base for decision-making.


Requirements Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users across various business units and geographic locations to gather and clarify business needs.
  • Translate these needs into clear, actionable requirements that inform technology and process changes.


Process Analysis & Value Stream Mapping:

  • Evaluate current business processes and measure proposed changes against programme objectives.
  • Conduct value stream mapping to visualize and optimize end-to-end flows across contract lifecycle, supply planning, and collaborative operations.


Data-Driven Insight & Solution Evaluation:

  • Leverage data and analysis to support the case for change and assess the effectiveness of current and potential solutions.
  • Perform option analysis and deliver recommendations to guide investment decisions for various transformation workstreams.


Collaboration & Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with the Programme Manager, digital solutions team, and external partners to align efforts and share progress updates.
  • Engage closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coherence in business cases, technical solutions, and transformation goals.


User-Centric Design:

  • Identify user groups and develop user stories that encapsulate their needs, supporting solution development.
  • Ensure user perspectives are integrated throughout the change lifecycle.


Contract Details

Start: ASAP

Initial Term: Through to end of 2025, with strong extension potential into 2026

Location: Remote-first, with occasional travel required

IR35: Outside IR35
