Your Role as a Certified Nursing Assistant:

  • Assist rehabilitation nurses with delegated care and rehabilitation tasks according to established regulations and guidelines.
  • Perform duties delegated and supervised by rehabilitation nurses.
  • Build rewarding relationships with patients and colleagues.

Required Certifications and Licensures:

  • Current CNA license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • CPR certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:

  • CNA license or certification required as per state mandates.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Good visual acuity, effective communication skills, and the ability to lift, push, pull, and transfer patients weighing a minimum of 30 pounds are essential. Reasonable assistance can be requested for tasks exceeding these minimum capabilities.

Work Environment:

  • Indoor, climate-controlled, smoke-free environment with occasional outdoor exposure.
  • Potential exposure to blood and body fluids.
  • Handicapped accessible.
  • May experience stressful situations at times.

Proficiency or Productivity Standards:

  • Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are expected.
  • Compliance with the hospital/department dress code, including wearing an ID badge.
  • May be required to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, or nights to meet operational needs.
  • Participation in disaster situations may be required as necessary.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
