About the Role
Join our agency as the Chief of Staff for the Public Safety Department and play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating staff, managing impactful projects, and contributing to vital public safety initiatives. In this position, you will supervise, direct, and evaluate team members, manage work schedules, and serve as a crucial link between staff and management. You will also prioritize tasks, assign work, and provide research and recommendations on policy matters.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in a public safety-related field, including supervisory experience. A valid Georgia driver's license is mandatory. Preference will be given to candidates with Georgia POST certification (Police, E911) or Georgia Fire Certification. This role requires moderate physical effort, including light lifting and carrying. You will be responsible for budget management, strategic planning, and coordinating special events and initiatives.
