About the Team:

The Value Engineering team at UKG connects HR, payroll, and workforce transformations with measurable business results. We collaborate closely with Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to refine account strategies, create compelling business cases, and narrate value-driven stories that resonate with executive stakeholders.

As UKG grows its value-selling approach globally, this team is crucial in articulating the financial, operational, and strategic benefits of modern HCM and Payroll solutions. We blend domain expertise, financial insight, and storytelling to aid complex enterprise decision-making and enhance how value is conveyed across businesses.

About the Role:

We are seeking a senior-level individual to join our Value Engineering team and lead value-based selling across UKG's HCM and Payroll offerings. This position will work closely with Sales, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, and Marketing to shape deal strategies, craft differentiated value stories, and develop business cases that link UKG's solutions to measurable customer outcomes.

This role will involve navigating complex enterprise sales cycles, helping customers assess the value of HR and Payroll transformations through ROI, TCO, payback periods, and operational impact modeling. The individual will engage with high-level stakeholders in HR, Finance, IT, and Operations, translating business priorities into impactful executive messaging and actionable value insights.

This is a prominent position for someone with significant HCM and Payroll expertise, strong financial skills, executive presence, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

About You:

You are a strategic, customer-focused value leader adept at turning business challenges into compelling financial and operational narratives. You excel at leading discovery sessions, crafting executive-ready business cases, and collaborating with account teams on critical opportunities.

With a deep understanding of HCM and Payroll transformation, you grasp the operational challenges faced by customers and the metrics that resonate with senior decision-makers. You skillfully align product capabilities with business priorities and distill complex analyses into persuasive executive recommendations.

Self-directed and thriving in uncertain environments, you possess the ability to influence cross-functionally without formal authority. You are passionate about developing and scaling value-selling practices in collaboration with teams throughout the business.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Value Engineering, Value Management, management consulting, financial analysis, or a strategic customer-facing role
  • Experience in building business cases and financial models that quantify ROI, TCO, payback periods, and overall business impact
  • Strong expertise in HCM and Payroll processes, including workforce administration, payroll operations, compliance, and HR service delivery
  • Proven capability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations
  • Experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles through discovery, value hypothesis development, and executive messaging
  • Strong executive communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate analysis into effective, persuasive narratives
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and foster cross-functional partnerships to deliver measurable results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Value Engineering, Business Value, or Value Advisory in an enterprise software setting
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI or equivalent platforms
  • Basic understanding of data analysis, data modeling, SQL, DAX, or related technical concepts
