Job Summary:
Are you a therapist who loves working with children and families? Are you ready to take the next big step in your career? If so, Rice Psychology may be the right place for you!
We are looking for an experienced, creative, growth-minded and collaborative child therapist to provide high quality mostly in-person therapy for children, adolescents and families.
At Rice Psychology Group, we offer top of the line therapy with consideration of evidence-based practices along with practical and otherwise proven approaches tailored for each individual and situation. We are known for being "outside of the box" therapists when it's appropriate and typically do what it takes to help the families who choose RPG to be their mental health home.
As a clinician for RPG, you'll conduct new patient intakes, create treatment plans and provide therapy within your scope of training and expertise. Of course, working with children and teens also means corresponding with parents, other providers and sometimes schools. We have strong relationships in the community and have a steady stream of school age referrals looking for therapy.
Depending on your ideal client demographic and availability, there is a possibility for this to be a full time position. The goal for this position is to build a 20-25 hour/week billable caseload in your first year. Your success will expand the reach and impact RPG has on the healing of families and individuals in our community - while simultaneously developing your personal brand as a foremost expert in your niche.
Sound like you? If so, read on.

Why Us?
Location: We own and operate out of two stand-alone buildings in Tampa and offer services via telehealth using Zoom for Healthcare. Our clinical staff spreads their week over the two locations.
Our main office is housed in a newly renovated 100-year-old home in the upscale and historic Hyde Park area of South Tampa, conveniently located near several private and public schools and just a few minutes from I-4, 275 and downtown.
Our newly renovated North Tampa office is centrally located in Carrollwood, on Dale Mabry Highway, between Busch/Gunn and Fletcher. We are close to great shopping, restaurants, schools, parks and after well over 15 years in the area, we are considered an integral part of the neighborhood.
Flexibility:
As you know, working with children and teens (and their parents) often requires us to be available after school and/or on weekends to accommodate after-school hours. We request that our therapists work 2 evenings during the week until at least 7 or 8pm. However, if you have a specialty with preschoolers or homeschool students, there is a great opportunity for you to build your daytime caseload. You can typically have your schedule with early and later days in a way that is convenient for both you and your clients. Working Saturdays instead of one evening is another option.
Administrative Team Support:
RPG employs a highly experienced administrative staff who ensure our offices run like clockwork. You are well supported in streamlining your work life. Our administrative staff is on site or available when you are seeing clients. They work in tandem with you to facilitate intakes, scheduling, billing, records, meetings and other administrative tasks. RPG is a cohesive team and while we work privately with our clients, we are so fortunate to have the support of our kind, knowledgeable and highly skilled administrators.
Referrals:
Every clinician joining a new practice strives to build a client base. A huge bonus in joining RPG is that you will benefit from the time and effort our team has put in to establishing and maintaining strong relationships with schools, pediatricians, families and leaders within the Tampa Bay community. We also have strong SEO and a nice online presence. All of this opens doors for you to rapidly develop a caseload that best matches your interests and training, form meaningful community connections and develop your own personal niche.
Marketing:
We're marketing and making an impact while you sleep. RPG is an entrepreneurially-minded private psychology practice that is continuously reaching out in innovative ways to speak to and support potential and current clients. With a dedicated social media following, extensive video channels, practice-leading weekly blog and regular appearances by Dr. Wendy Rice on Tampa news outlets as one of their leading experts in child psychology in Tampa (and the greater Florida area), you will be joining a team that is dedicated to having an impact on mental health. In addition to growing your own client base, as a part of the team you will have a platform to reach and impact the lives of current and potential clients who will benefit from your area of expertise.
Things that will make you feel right at home:
RPG's offices are nicely furnished, comfortable, and equipped for the type of work you do.
We are also home to a loveable therapy dog, Milo, who brings as much joy to our team as to our patients.
We always have delicious coffee and tea options on hand along with Nespresso makers (and milk frothers) in both offices.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must:
Be licensed in Florida as an LMHC, LCSW or LMFT
Have experience in and a commitment to further developing their child and family therapy skills.
Enjoy working in a collegial workplace atmosphere.
Be eligible to work in the United States.
Speak fluent English and bilingualism would be considered an asset.
Be comfortable working in a setting with dogs.
