GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position involves cleaning and maintaining a busy restaurant environment. We are looking for team members who take pride in their work and adhere to high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
- Clean black hat facing forward with a straight brim.
- Maintain clean and tidy hair kept under the hat.
- Clean-shaven appearance; neatly maintained beards and mustaches allowed.
- Fingernails should be trimmed and neat.
- Jewelry should not be worn in visible areas such as ears, face, neck, or wrists.
- No headphones or ear buds while working.
- Clean, non-faded, wrinkle-free uniform shirt must be tucked in.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow uniform and hygiene standards at all times.
- Adhere to policies that ensure a clean and sanitized restaurant.
- Keep workstations and equipment organized and clean.
- Follow hygiene and safety standards as well as GHS requirements.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Participate in training using digital devices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other duties as directed by management.
- Assist with opening and closing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tables.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience as a janitor or busser is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively in English and understand cleaning and sanitization protocols.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to follow simple instructions and handle routine situations with minimal guidance.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must participate in orientation, comply with policies, and complete training requirements related to food and alcohol service.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The duties require standing, walking, handling objects, talking, and hearing. Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing duties, you will encounter kitchen fumes, wet or humid conditions, and cleaning chemicals. Be prepared for exposure to allergens such as cigarette smoke in certain locations.
