Clinical Assistant

The following is a non-exhaustive criterion that relates to the job of a Clinical Assistant, and it is consistent with the business needs of the facility. These are legitimate measures of the qualifications for a Clinical Assistant and are related to the functions that are essential to the job of a Clinical Assistant.

KNOWLEDGE BASE:

Ability to perform basic office skills, including proficiency in general computer skills.
Great attention to detail
Demonstrate ability to prioritize work based on the needs of the facility/department.
Ability to perform Essential Duties listed below.
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, in English language.
Ability to comply with the Patient Bill of Rights, and Employee Responsibilities.
Ability to comply with the Employee Handbook, and Code of Conduct.
Ability to comply with departmental and facility policies and procedures.
Ability to maneuver and lift 50 Lbs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provide reports, prior to AM Management Meeting, from all systems that provide information in accordance with training.
Assist in recruiting, using the HRIS and the applicant tracking software to provide qualified candidates to the management team for consideration.
Complete environmental and care rounds in the assigned areas.
Follow up on new admissions.
Provide assistance in meal serving, resident outpatient appointments, supervised smoking, and other duties assigned by the DON/designee.

Reliability, trustworthiness, and consistency regarding attendance is extremely important to this job. The ability to regularly and timely attend work, cooperative and politely work and deal with others, and to effectively multi-task and work in a stressful environment are also essential functions to this job.

STATEMENT: This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing.
