Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, Days
Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20
As a Clinical Nurse, you will assess, coordinate, plan, and implement care for assigned patients, ensuring a smooth journey through their care episode with a focus on preparing them for discharge. Your role will involve delivering and coordinating care with the caregiving team, ensuring that all patients receive compassionate and competent care across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments, procedures, and diagnostic tests in accordance with policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
- Assess patient needs and evaluate their responses to care.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree).
- Current Registered Nurse license in NYS.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them for departmental and patient care improvement.
