Clinical Nurse I: Critical Care Float Pool - Night Shift

This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance and apply your critical care skills in various specialized areas, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and the MSICU, our intermediate care ICU.

About the Role:

As a Clinical Nurse I, you will have the chance to work across all critical care areas in the Region's only Level I trauma center. In this position, you will:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care as required.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various medical needs.
• Collaborate with nursing teams to create comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a must.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them effectively.
