Clinical Nurse I: Critical Care Float Pool - Night Shift

Join our dedicated team in the Critical Care Float Pool, where you will have the chance to enhance your critical care skills across various specialties, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and our intermediate care ICU - the MSICU.

As a Clinical Nurse, you'll enjoy the opportunity to work at the Region's only Level I trauma center, gaining invaluable experience and competencies in areas such as Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care.

In this role, you will:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and document care as per company policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Apply nursing judgment in patient care management.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality principles and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them in patient care quality improvement.
