Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20

Join our dedicated team as a Clinical Nurse, where you will play a vital role in assessing, coordinating, planning, implementing, and managing the needs of our patients throughout their care journey, including transitions within their acute care stay. Our Clinical Nurse is integral to ensuring the delivery and coordination of excellent patient care through collaboration with our caregiving team. You will be responsible for providing compassionate and competent care, benefiting patients and collaborating effectively with staff and referring facilities.

Our Float Pool allows you to work across 22 different medical and surgical units, providing care to a diverse patient population. Skills covered include step down care, drips, cardiac monitoring, neurosciences, chemotherapy, acute rehab, codes including stroke, and rapid response.

Our Float Pool Tier Configuration also offers generous shift differentials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, documenting all treatment per company policy and regulations.
  • Order and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
  • Thoroughly assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer prescribed over-the-counter and prescription medications.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree conferred.
  • Must hold a current NYS Registered Nurse license.
  • Obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Previous experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred.
  • Willingness to improve job performance through continuing education.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement concepts, principles, and techniques, with demonstrated ability to apply them in support of departmental and patient care enhancement.
