Clinical Nurse I: Float Pool, Night Shift

Are you passionate about providing compassionate care to patients and their families? Join our Float Pool team as a Clinical Nurse I, where you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care in various settings.

This position offers a work schedule of 36 hours per week during the night shift, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact while balancing your personal life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments while documenting care as per company policy and regulatory standards.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient needs and responses to care.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as directed.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is necessary.
  • 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques, with a demonstrated ability to apply them to improve patient care quality.
