Position Overview:

The Clinical Nurse I plays a vital role in creating a warm and supportive environment, displaying kindness and active listening to enhance patient experiences. Your contributions make a significant difference in our mission to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders and administer medications with precision.
  • Start IVs and perform necessary treatments, procedures, and tests, adhering to established policies and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine patient care needs.
  • Exercise sound nursing judgment in all patient care management decisions.
  • Provide immediate care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, according to orders.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care.
  • Guide and mentor ancillary personnel while upholding standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree).
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
  • 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and ability to apply problem-solving techniques effectively.
