Job Responsibilities
- Implement physician orders and efficiently administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures.
- Document all treatments as required by company policy and state/federal regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patient needs and responses to care rendered.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Mentor and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree)
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is required.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques, with a demonstrated ability to apply these in improving departmental and patient care quality.
