Clinical Nurse I: Med/Surg Float Pool - 36hrs/week, DAY Shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document all procedures as required by company policy and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to thoroughly assess patient conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as directed.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and mentor ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.
• Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools with the ability to apply them for departmental and patient care improvement.
