Clinical Nurse I: Med/Surg Float Pool - Days Shift

Join our dedicated Float Pool team as a Clinical Nurse I, where you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate care to our patients and their families. Your expertise and kindness will contribute to a supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.

Position Overview:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and procedures while documenting all treatments as per our policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
• Assess and evaluate patients' needs and responses to care, demonstrating sound nursing judgment in all decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to guidelines.
• Collaborate with fellow nursing staff to develop individualized Care Plans for every patient.
• Guide ancillary personnel, upholding professional nursing standards in all aspects of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, obtaining a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Possession of a current New York State Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is essential.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is required.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are necessary for success in this role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them in patient care.
