Clinical Nurse I: Med/Surg Float Pool - Nights

Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20

Job Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments while documenting all care according to hospital policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions effectively.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment to inform patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various health conditions.
• Administer both over-the-counter and prescribed medications as directed.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to formulate and implement comprehensive care plans for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel, maintaining professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from a professional nursing program, with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them in patient care settings.
