Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20
Join our dynamic Float Pool team, where you can expand your nursing skills across various specialties and provide exceptional patient care. As a Clinical Nurse, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients while focusing on their progress towards discharge. You will ensure that competent and compassionate care is uniformly provided in various settings, including inpatient, ambulatory, and community environments.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to diversify your nursing experience, with access to 22 different medical and surgical units. You'll gain exposure to diverse patient populations and develop skills in areas such as step-down care, cardiac monitoring, chemotherapy, and more.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document all care as per policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs to provide tailored care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in patient management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as ordered and collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care.
- Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional nursing program with a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
- Must obtain and maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Previous experience as a PCA or in a nursing assistant role is preferred.
- Willingness to enhance job performance through ongoing education.
- Understanding of quality concepts and the ability to apply them in patient care settings.
