Clinical Nurse I - Ortho Trauma/Elective Ortho

Position Overview:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform various treatments and procedures, and document all care following company policies and relevant regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to effectively assess and understand patients' health conditions.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided, using sound nursing judgment to guide patient management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer prescribed over-the-counter and prescription medications, ensuring accurate and safe delivery.
• Collaborate with nursing teams to develop and implement comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications Required:

• Graduation from a recognized professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
• 1-3 years of prior clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
• Outstanding communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.
• Familiarity with quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques related to patient care quality improvement.
