Clinical Nurse I - Vascular Surgery

Join our dynamic Vascular Surgery team, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to acute and chronically ill surgical patients. We have two well-equipped Vascular Surgery Units that cater to a diverse patient population, focusing on conditions such as vascular disease and providing telemetry monitoring.

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week on Day Shift

Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20

As a Clinical Nurse I, your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting all patient interactions according to policy and regulation.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to assess and evaluate patient conditions effectively.
  • Evaluating patient needs and responses to care with a holistic approach.
  • Utilizing sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
  • Providing both primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Administering medications as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to establish comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guiding and leading ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with either a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
  • 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement principles and the ability to apply them effectively in patient care.
