Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

Hourly Rate: $34.65 - $35.69

The Colorectal Surgery and Urology Unit consists of 22 semi-private rooms, providing exceptional post-surgical care for patients who have undergone colorectal and urologic procedures. Our dedicated nursing staff collaborates closely with Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses to address all ostomy and wound care needs. As a Clinical Nurse II, you will care for postoperative patients with TPN, NG tubes, and central lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, and catheter placement.
• Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform essential treatments while documenting care in accordance with policy.
• Evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Apply strong nursing judgment in managing patient care.
• Provide primary and emergency care for various patient needs.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Guide ancillary personnel to maintain high standards of professional nursing.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC must be obtained and maintained.
• A minimum of 1-3 years clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Strong commitment to continuing education and performance improvement.
• Understanding of quality concepts and ability to apply them for improvement in patient care.
