Clinical Nurse II - Critical Care Float Pool

This role offers you the unique opportunity to build critical care skills across diverse units, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and our progressive critical care unit.

Position Details:

• Work Schedule: 36 hours/week, Nights
• Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26
• Hourly Rate: $34.65 - $35.69

You will be an integral part of the region's only Level I trauma center, with opportunities to enhance competencies in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care. This is a chance to learn from a highly skilled nursing team dedicated to compassionate patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and document accordingly.
2. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
3. Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
4. Utilize sound nursing judgment in patient care management.
5. Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
6. Administer medications as prescribed.
7. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop personalized Plans of Care.
8. Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Progressive Care or ICU.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality concepts and ability to apply them to patient care improvements.
