Clinical Nurse II: Critical Care Float Pool - Night Shift

Join our dynamic Critical Care Float Pool team! This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your critical care skills in various specialized areas, including Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, Coronary Care Unit, Cardiovascular ICU, and our intermediate care ICU - the MSICU.

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, Night shifts

Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

As a member of the Critical Care Float Pool, you will also have the chance to enhance your competencies in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care disciplines.

This role allows you to work across all Critical Care areas at the Region's only Level I trauma center. Join our skilled nursing team and make a difference in the lives of patients and families!

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform necessary treatments and procedures.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
• Evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provide emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for patients.
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel, maintaining professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and ability to apply them effectively.
