Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26 ($34.65 - $35.69 per hour)

About the Elective Orthopedics Unit:

B3West is a 24-bed unit consisting of private rooms dedicated to post-surgical care. Our primary focus is on elective orthopedic surgery and total joint surgery, providing excellent support and care for both orthopedic trauma and general medical-surgical patients.

Role Overview:

The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a compassionate and caring environment for patients and their families. Every team member’s work contributes significantly to our mission and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and conduct treatments and evaluations in accordance with policy and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs, implementing appropriate nursing judgments in care management.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop personalized Care Plans for all patients.
  • Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a formal nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Current New York State RN license.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to apply them effectively.
