Clinical Nurse II - Labor and Delivery

Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Labor and Delivery team. This role requires a commitment to creating a supportive environment for patients, their families, and colleagues through kindness and effective communication.

As a vital member of our nursing team, you will:

• Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments, and document care in compliance with company policy and regulations.

• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' needs and their responses to the care provided.

• Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.

• Provide critical primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

• Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as prescribed.

• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.

• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from a recognized professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree).

• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.

• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings.

• Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.

• Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and the ability to implement them effectively in patient care.
