Clinical Nurse II (Labor & Delivery)

Position Overview: Join our dedicated team as a Clinical Nurse II in the Labor & Delivery department. As a key member of our healthcare community, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care for patients and their families, creating an environment that values kindness and active listening.

Responsibilities:

• Implement physician orders and administer medications while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
• Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and their responses to care provided.
• Utilize sound nursing judgment to inform patient care management decisions.
• Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for all patients.
• Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care preferred.
• Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.
• Familiarity with quality concepts and problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care and departmental quality is a plus.
