Clinical Nurse II - Medical Cardiology

Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61

Hourly Range: $36.73 - $60.93

The Medical Cardiology unit is a dedicated 29-bed unit that provides exceptional care to patients with a range of cardiac and medical conditions. We welcome patients from various sources, including the Emergency Department and Cardiac Catheterization Lab, who require telemetry monitoring after undergoing minimally-invasive and invasive cardiac procedures. Our patient population includes adults of all ages, from young adults (18 years) to geriatrics (100+ years).

As a Clinical Nurse II, you will:

• Assess, coordinate, and manage the needs of your assigned patients throughout their care journey.
• Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments while adhering to established policies and regulations.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to evaluate and monitor patient conditions.
• Collaborate with the nursing team to develop personalized care plans for patients.
• Provide primary and emergency care as needed.
• Guide and support ancillary personnel while maintaining professionalism and nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Previous experience in a PCA or nursing assistance role is preferred.
• Willingness to engage in continuing education for professional growth.
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles and techniques.
