Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26
As a dedicated Registered Professional Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing, coordinating, planning, directing, implementing, and managing the needs of your assigned patients throughout their care journey, with a strong emphasis on progress toward discharge and seamless transitions during their acute care stay. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery and coordination of compassionate, competent patient care by the entire caregiving team. Your commitment will extend to providing exceptional customer service to our patients, referring facilities, and hospital staff across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, while accurately documenting all treatments as required.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient needs and their responses to care.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment for optimal patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for each patient.
- Lead and guide ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, preferably in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools for departmental and patient care quality improvement.
Hourly Range: $34.65 - $35.69
