Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse II. In this pivotal role, you will assess, coordinate, plan, direct, implement, and manage the needs of assigned patients throughout their care journey. You will focus on achieving positive outcomes for patients, particularly as they transition to discharge and through their acute care stay.
As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will oversee the delivery and coordination of care provided by our exceptional caregiving team, ensuring that all patients receive competent and compassionate care in various settings, including inpatient, ambulatory, and community environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments while complying with all relevant policies and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
- Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
- Exercise sound nursing judgment to inform patient management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as directed.
- Collaborate closely with nursing team members to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel to uphold professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques as they relate to patient care and quality improvement.
Hourly Range: $34.65 - $35.69
