Join our dedicated team as a Clinical Nurse II, where you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and managing the care of patients throughout their hospital journey. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive competent, compassionate care as they transition towards discharge. You will oversee the caregiving team to guarantee high-quality patient care is consistently provided in various settings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments, and document care in accordance with policy and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
  • Utilize sound nursing judgment in making patient management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for all patients.
  • Guide ancillary personnel and uphold professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized nursing program with a diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
  • Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.
  • Certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC is required and must be maintained.
  • 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably with experience in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education.
  • Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques; ability to apply these in support of quality improvement in patient care.
